From a Birth to a Death

having had to find you

i then had to realize

that suddenly & impatiently

i had to lose you also

for whatever it was

it had to complete its course

you came & you went

you came unintended

you let intended

i observed the begin

it was like a birth

a new life came to existence

i experienced the end

it was like a death

an old life had come back

i journeyed anew in betwix the two

from a birth to a death
